There she was. Right where she said she'd be, in front of Kelly's Cafe Shop, on the corner of 6th and Bellevue. She was alone, obviously. He knew her well enough by now to know that she'd never bring one of her "friends" along. Things had gotten serious.
Even from across the street, she stood out like a sore-thumb, but in a good way. She was strikingly beautiful, to the point that she could stand out in a crowd any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. She hadn't noticed him looking at her. He made his move.

Ellen got a feeling. It was a strange sensation. She felt like she was being watched. There were so many people walking around her though, so she brushed the feeling away and kept waiting for Nick. They'd agreed to meet at 12:30, and it had been her choice as to where they'd meet. She picked somewhere she was comfortable with, the cafe she went to every morning. She was thinking about calling him, but then she got the feeling again, only this time it was more intense. She got the feeling someone was right behind her, and she didn't know what to expect. She didn't want to turn around though. Then suddenly, a pair of hands quickly came from behind and covered her eyes.

Nick snuck up behind her and covered her eyes with his hands. "Guess who?" She turned smiled and turned around, then looked up to see a big grin on his face. She gave him a quick kiss and asked how his day was. "Getting better," he replied. They walked into the cafe, sat down, and enjoyed their date.
